Mischief Lowchen
Our Lowchen: Little Lions, Little Balls of Sunshine, Lifelong Companions

A Bit About Me
My journey into the world of dogs began in 2013 when my husband and I adopted a little mini schnauzer named Orion. He was the spark that ignited everything that came after—every dog, every sport, every adventure. Through the Boxer/Schnauzer Rescue of the Ozarks, we spent years fostering and adopting dogs, each one shaping my understanding of training, behavior, and the magic of a well-matched partnership.
During that time, I dove headfirst into conformation shows and even helped found our local barn hunt chapter with a group of friends. But as I grew, I realized that many of the rescue dogs I adored simply couldn’t perform at the level I dreamed of. That realization opened the door to my first true “well-bred dog” obsession: the Berger Picard.
Peanut and Roger—my incredible Picards—became my greatest teachers. Through breeding collaborations and countless training hours, they pushed me, challenged me, and expanded my skills in ways I never expected.
Though I still adore the Picards, I eventually felt the pull toward something new. That’s when I discovered the enchanting, often overlooked Lowchen. They can do everything my Picards can—only they’re portable, joyful, and always seem to tackle life with a grin. I’ve even made it my mission to see if one can herd, and I’m currently on the lookout for someone willing to let Hedgie try her paw at herding ducks!
My Lowchen adventure began with Mimi, and it’s been pure magic ever since. These little dogs are rays of sunshine wrapped in fur—bright, enthusiastic, endlessly fun. Whether I’m training, trialing, or simply sharing space with them, they enrich my life every single day. I truly can’t imagine my world without them.
